Questions for this shipment:

Question: Sorry for the delay in responding. We are not able to meet your price of $600, some on UShip might be able to but please remember that you get what you pay for. We are fully DOT compliant and insured, our trucks and trailers are all brand new custom 2008's (we do not run old rigs or stock trailers), we layup your horse every night (DOT law states that a driver can only drive 11 hrs in a 24 hr period), we do not take your horse on a 'joy ride' all over so we can pick-up horses in various states - we run a route, we stop every 3-4 hours to refill water and hay (we feed top quality timothy hay at $35/bale) and to allow the horses to rest and go to the bathroom - many will not go while the trailer is moving, we stay in contact with the customer throughout the trip so you know how your horse is doing. We take pride in what we do and would love to help you but we just are not able to match your requested amount. Our best price would be $1,200. Thank you. (and please be careful!) (11/13/2008)
Response: The trainer has already made plans, but thank you very much for getting back to us. Leslie (11/14/2008)
Question: Just so you are aware, there are many great haulers on this site. Yes you do need to check profiles/feedback, but some could haul for you for $600 as a filler price. My ranch is in CA and I could do it for $600 as long as I have others going back. I will not be going to CA for about 3-4 weeks. Should you need someone, please feel free to let me know. Thanks Bill (11/15/2008)
Response: Bill, Would you be able to pick up either in Willis, TX open date after Dec 6th. OR at Retama Park and that pick up would have to be the week of Dec 6 thru Dec 13th. Thank you Leslie (11/15/2008)
Response: Leslie, right now that week is open and I can work in other CA loads if you will commit to the ship. Booking in advance is always better because I will fill up well before those dates and $600 is a great price. I will place the bid and please accept asap so I can put you in my schedule. Anywhere in TX for p/u is fine and I can work around the p/u point. I have a place I stay in Weatherford, so its not a problem. I will contact you as soon as bid is accepted. Thanks Bill (11/15/2008)
Question: Leslie, there's only 4 hrs left on the bid. Did you want me rebid and you can let me know when the seller contacts you? I would like to lock this in for you so you have the spot before I fill up for that week. Let me know what you would like to do. Thanks Bill (11/18/2008)
Response: I would guess that if you could extend a couple of days it might still work - I am as frustrated as you - my horse is coming from De to TX and I am just trying to help -- oakcrestfarmsllc (11/18/2008)
Response: Don't worry about it. I'm sorry to hear about the frustration. I will cancel the current bid and put in another that will extend through the weekend. I like to have my loads set up a couple of weeks in advance so I have time to fill a stall in case someone should cancel. I'm not frustrated by any means! Bill (11/18/2008)
Response: Thank you for the extension and I saw the other questions - only one horse going from TX to Los Alamitos. Either my trainer or I was going to drive the horses from Delaware to Texas (mine is coming in from Delaware for a stakes race at Retama in December)-still trying to fill that load. Leslie (11/18/2008)
Response: Oh ok, I saw the another page titled "Oakcrest2" and thought it was yours. What are the dates for your horse in Delaware? I will try and help you with that if I can. I usually do not go that far North East this time of year due to snow and ice, but depending on the timeframe it may be ok and I can check weather conditions. Bill (11/19/2008)
Response: He has to be at Retama by Dec 6th, but the trainer wants him to pretty much come straight thru, as he shipping in for a race. The problem is I am almost stuck doing this myself since I need to bring 800 pounds food until he would leave here for his next race. That filly you are waiting to hear about for CA was going to help offset the fuel costs. Thanks anyway. (11/19/2008)
Response: oh no problem, just wanted to know if I could help. Let me know when you here from the other person about this ship. I will keep the bid active for you. Bill (11/19/2008)
Question: Leslie, do you have 3 horses going? I saw the other page Oakcrest2 and I can take them all at one time for you. I just need to know so I know how many stalls I have to fill andhow many I still need to fill. thanks Bill (11/18/2008)
Question: Hi I am bill99 I don't know if I said or not but the food is not a prob. I can take it with me. If it is only 600 lbsis it hay or grain or what Thanks bill99 I don't see a response did you find someone else?? If so ok I just need to know? (11/20/2008)
Response: Bill, I may have confused the issue. The horse from San Antonio to Los AL is the one you bid on. That horse is really starting her trip with me from Delaware to San Antonio - she was going to help pay my fuel. I am bringing my colt to run in TX and he is the one who needs tack and feed shipped with him. I was making the trip because we couldn't find reasonable to do that. (11/20/2008)
Response: So where do you need the colt picked up and delivered too? Mary (11/20/2008)
Response: Mary - Middletown DE to Retama TX - but I need to do it - if you wnat to ride along just call (11/21/2008)
